When disaster strikes, Europe responds together.
EDPN is the European Disaster Preparedness Network β a cross-border registry of volunteers ready to help, matched by their skills the moment a crisis is declared.
How EDPN works
One network, three roles, a single goal: getting the right skills to the right place, fast.
1. Register your skills
Volunteers sign up once with their location, languages and capabilities β from first aid to logistics, IT to structural engineering.
2. Staff match need to skill
When a crisis is declared, verified staff members search the network for volunteers whose skills match what's needed, wherever they are.
3. Volunteers respond
Matched volunteers receive an alert and can accept or decline based on their real-time availability β no one is deployed without consent.
12 skill categories, one registry
From emergency medicine to water treatment β every capability counts in a crisis.
